Minas Gerais | Artisanal Treasures: A Glimpse into Craftsmanship

Minas Gerais combines the influence of indigenous and African cultures with the customs of Portuguese colonizers. The gold route, mining, and the pioneering spirit of the Bandeirantes have all left their mark. The architecture, cuisine, and, of course, the craftsmanship of this state bear an extremely authentic 'jeitinho mineiro.'

Masterpieces by YANA COELHO, ILUDI DESIGN,  RUSTIC FURNITURE.

Both soapstone and Angelim wood are prominent materials in the region's traditional crafts. Furthermore, the handiwork often incorporates natural plants from the Serra do Espinhaço (Jequitinhonha).
