Midwest | Sustainable Brazilian Crafts  

The Brazilian Midwest comprises the states of Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Goiás, and the Federal District. It is home to the Pantanal and important indigenous reserves such as the Xingu, which is a source of ethnic wooden art focused on the animals that inhabit this region. Dehydrated natural peels, buriti wood, flowers, leaves are examples of raw material used in handcrafting these decorative art.
